For whatever reason, there was a lot of bad traffic for a couple of weeks with my ISP. Because there wasn't enough high speed data coming in, it effected my sound quality. Have you tried doing a factory data reset of the phone? Last resort only obviously, as it will wipe your apps and data! I have not tried a factory reset yet. I will try it tomorrow.
