I suggest you to follow the below steps and check if the issue resolves. Open Windows Mail App. Select Reading in the right corner. Turn Off Automatically download external images and Style Fonts. Restart the Application and check if the issue resolves.

The mails were also recently received and in a period on minutes, I could have 2 emails with no problem and 2 emails with problems.

Blocking pictures can help protect your computer. Microsoft Outlook is configured by default to block automatic picture downloads from the Internet. You can, however, unblock pictures that you think are safe to download. Helping you avoid viewing potentially offensive material when external content is linked to the message.
